The general consensus is that ivtv CVS releases after 0.1.9 but before the major
0.2.0 restructuring are less stable than 0.1.9 - I'm inclined to agree, my
script to detect ivtv errors has not been needed since I downgraded from a CVS
version down to 0.1.9.

Current CVS is slated to be ivtv 0.2.0, much of which is being rewritten.  i.e.
you'll be very lucky if it works at all.  (Well, this might have changed in the
past week.  :)
