I went to Tahoe for the week and left my KnoppMyth box running to record
4 shows.
Came home on Friday, the box was still running, recorded all of my
shows, and I had no problem watching the recordings.
Here are the 'problems' I have with my myth box:
1) I can't watch DVDs out of the box(help please!).
2) TV out(built on S3) to my Sony Trinitron TV does not fill the entire
screen, it leaves a lot of unused space compared to normal TV.
3) I have noticed that sometimes while watching a recording, and recording
at the same time results in the recording missing a lot of the show.
4) Recording from MTV has very loud music audio. I guess this is a known
issue with MTV broadcasting.
This is my hardware/OS setup:
Shuttle SK41G
AthlonXP 1700+
256MB PC2700 DDR
30GB Hitachi(IBM) 2MB Cache 7200RPM
Hauppauge PVR-250
KnoppMyth R4(with 0.14 packages).
I hope this helps with your decision.
