A common occurence.  Same idea as with DVD-Rs, if you want something made by a
particular manufacturer, make sure you buy it from that manufacturer.  Otherwise
all bets are off.  An example, I believe Verbatims used to be made by Mitsubishi
Chemical, (good), but are now made by CMC Magnetics (bad).  The only way to be
safe is to buy manufacturer-branded discs (Ritek, TDK, etc.)

Maybe in the past RS sold Channel Master products, but at least for the past
year, everything CM sells is far higher quality than anything available from RS.
