Definitely not the issue, I have a SK41G with a 120gig seagate in it.

I think the problem may be in the hardware.  I was doing research on
different mini-pc recently and noticed quite a few of them had HD size
limits of 60GB.  Try a smaller HD and see if that fixes the problem.
