I'm running 0.14 from ATrpms on FC1, but I have seen this with 0.13 as
well. I'm using two PVR-250s and ivtv-0.1.9.
Tonight, while watching live TV, the backend generated these messages:
2004-02-03 22:15:23 MainServer::HandleAnnounce Playback
2004-02-03 22:15:23 adding: mythtv as a client (events: 0)

2004-02-03 22:15:23 adding: mythtv as a client (events: 0)
2004-02-03 22:15:23 adding: mythtv as a remote ringbuffer
2004-02-03 22:15:24 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
Couldn't read data from the capture card in 15 seconds. Game over, man.
2004-02-03 22:22:37 Changing from WatchingLiveTV to None
Starting up as the master server.
2004-02-03 22:55:01 mythbackend version: 0.14.20040123-1 www.mythtv.org
At this point (after the message at 22:15:24), the backend was not
responsive, through the status port would not respond, either.
The frontend generated these messages:
2004-02-03 22:15:26 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV

Errm, event socket just closed.
Connection to backend server lost

ivtv didn't report anything abnormal until after I shutdown the backend:
Feb 3 22:54:51 mythtv mythbackend: mythbackend shutdown succeeded
Feb 3 22:54:52 mythtv kernel: ivtv: giving up waiting for DMA pending clear
Feb 3 22:55:00 mythtv mythbackend: mythbackend startup succeeded
So this problem sounds like the issues others have had while watching
live TV. I hope the log entries help.
