[mythtv-users] Myth compared to M$ solutions

As a registered owner of BeyondTV I can say almost the same thing.  My
desire for dual tuners is the main reason I looked for a different way.  I
also wanted to play music excetra.  For folks who are afraid of Linux I
think Beyond is a good choice.

That said, I have had at least 12 people ask me to set a MythTV box up for
them...

I downloaded and tried BeyondTV (snapstream) and SageTv.
Both were pretty easy to install, with SageTV begingn the better of the two.

After I played around with both, there is no way I would use either one of
them over Myth.

The next version of SageTV looks alot like Myth with many improvements but
it is currently in beta.

All in all Myth beats both hands down :-)  Now if more commercial games were
available for Linux :-(
