It is a conflict between the ivtv driver and the latest bttv snapshot, 
I believe. I had the same problem, but I didn't have to reinstall 
anything; I just had to remove all traces of bttv. I still have to 
verify whether or not it happens with the bttv 0.9.12 release version 
or not...
