To put this to rest, I did not mean that constructive criticism or
advice is not welcomed. All I'm saying is instead of complaining of
things that don't work, you should do some research first. As you know,
tracking down and fixing problems require time. I am not a developer
here, but I know all of the heroes here have real jobs that pay real
bills. Updating HOWTO guides for every scenerio is probably low on
their priority list.

If something does not work right, you can browse the forums and mailing
lists, discuss the issues with the developers, heck you can even provide
some suggestions on how to make it work. But saying to remove something
because it doesn't work for you is a little extreme.

When I said "put up or shut up" I was referring to what you just
figured out. HELP solve the problem. Just complaining and suggesting
to remove an important resource for many does not help solve the
problem. It would make matters worse.

If Jarod didn't have thick skin, and a super hero cape, he could've
listened to you and where would we all be? I would be in deep poo-poo.

I am a happy mythtv user for 10 months. I've been getting an itch to
try FC3. But with the wife happily watching all the Smallville, CSI-*,
and Law and Order episodes until her heart's content, I DARE NOT try FC3
until later. This is a perfect example of "If it ain't broken, don't
fix it."
