[mythtv-users] watching TV on wireless frontend flickers badly

Hi all,

OK, I know it is a strech, but bandwith-wise this ought to work:

An old old toshiba satellite 300CDT (P166 MMX) laptop
kernel 2.6
debian unstable
54mBs WiFi

watching Tv or watching recorded programs gives me lots of green
flickers inbetween frames.
It looks like the bandwith needed is too much for this old beast, but
this machine is able to play movies of certain dimensions from a NFS
mount of the same server. I tweaked the live TV dimensions to be ca
240x240, but this seems to make no distinguishable difference, which
leads me to believe I need to look elsewhere.

Anywho, any pointers on how I might be able to improve my myth
experience on this old beast ?

kind regards,
