Yes; I believe you just have to define them with the proper minor device 
numbers in /etc/modules.conf or /etc/modprobe.conf (depending on your 
distribution).  Something like:

alias snd-card-0 <module for first card's driver>
alias snd-card-1 <module for second card's driver>
