I've had a Mythbackend and multiple frontends for awhile. I'm trying to
add a slave backend with another tuner. (I know there are other was to
do this, but this is my approach at the moment). I've got MythTV
installed and the tuner is setup. When I start mythbackend at the
prompt it appears to connect:

bash-2.05b# mythbackend
Running as a slave backend.
2004-12-20 10:27:20 mythbackend version: 0.16.20040906-1 www.mythtv.org
2004-12-20 10:27:20 Enabled verbose msgs : important general
2004-12-20 10:27:21 Connecting to master server: 192.168.1.4:6543
2004-12-20 10:27:21 Connected successfully

Now, when I try to start the backend as a daemon, I get the following:

bash-2.05b# /etc/init.d/mythbackend start
  * Starting myth backend...
Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the
authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based
authentication f [ ok ]
bash-2.05b#

I am logged-in as root. I'm running Gentoo. The master backend is
still up and running. Any thoughts?

Sean
