[mythtv-users] lirc rebooting woes

I had the same problem, and I think I just fixed it after 4 days of 
playing with it. I'm not really sure how all this works or why this 
worked for me, but maybe it will work for you too. My problem was 
related to something with udev. I tried the fix for it that is in 
located here http://bugzilla.atrpms.net/ (search of udev) that Jarod 
suggested but that did nothing  however when i ran this command:

cp -rp /dev/lirc* /etc/udev/devices/

It seemed to fix the problem. I think this is copying the lirc dev 
syslink so they are created again at next reboot, but I'm not to 
familiar with how udev works so i'm not to sure the details. I hope 
this works for you. Please report back your outcome, and if anyone can 
explain a little more in-depth what is going on here please do. Thanks 
for everyone's input  that got me this far.
