Don't see a reason for this unless your videos are stored on a different drive
than your mythtv recordings. If so, then a way to "archive" mythtv files to
a different directory might be better so you don't lose the program info
by moving the file into mythvideo. Keep it in mythtv, but flag it as
archived with "archived" files being in a different directory. The backend
could be setup to only add archived programs to the list of recordings that
it gives the frontend if the actual file existed. This would allow you to
archive a file to a data DVD/CD and the Watch Recordings screen would
only display the file if the CD was present.
Just made a bunch of notes in my TODO list about this since I came up with
a bunch of ideas while typing up this email.
