Use your mouse (assuming that you have one plugged in). 

The mouse cursor is hidden when it is over the mythtv window. You can see the position of the cursor by pressing the "ALT" key and then a left mouse-click. When the cursor is over the checkbox, do a left mouse click (without the ALT button on the keyboard this time).
