I'm using a ME 6000.  It's fine for decoding MPEG2 video as long as 
there's nothing else going on (for example, if I run xmule in the 
background, the sound skips).  I run with one Pabst fan in the case.  
Runs cool.  I'm very happy with it but my usage is light (no DVD player, 
mostly playing back stuff recorded using the PVR-250).  Oh, if you want 
quiet, go for a passive PSU if you can.  I got a slimline PSU to start 
with but it was way too noisy.
