[mythtv-users] distro's.. other possibilities?

am having a few problems with with my FC1 box.. it's getting *very* 
flaky under X.. it lasts about 10 seconds the screen gets all strange on 
me.. and then the whole box freezes.. this has only started happening in 
the last couple of days..  it only seems to get wierd after the *big* 
"apt-get dist-upgrade" though (and yes.. all kde stuff is commented out 
but I don't think that'd cause this anyways)

am not sure whether it's a driver issue (but am presuming it must be 
unless I have hardware failing).. so am wanting to try myth under a 
different distro temporarily..

whats the easiest thing to try? am thinking knoppmyth might be an idea 
for a quick test... is that the best idea? or is there something else I 
could try? am not wanting to spend *too* much time investigating the 
problem..
