The good new is that if xawtv plays the passthru sound you are
wired up correctly and the drivers are working. You just need
to get capture working.

Normally this means that either 1) You do not have the "Line"
slider in alsamixer selected as "CAPTUR" in red over the top,
2) The "Capture" slider doesn't have the volume turned up, or
3) possibly another device got dsp0 and the correct device may
be /dev/dsp1 or 2 etc.
