[mythtv-users] really need some input on FC1 install. just won't work.

hi,
i've outlined my install process.  i should also say that i'm running an AMD 
1800, 256MB DDR, Hauppauge 250, Geforce 5200 AGP w/TV Out, and SBLive.   
after five attempts i need some help with this.


1. Installed FC1 w/the following options:
   X Window
   KDE Desktop
   SQL Database Server
   Kernel Dev
   Web Server
   Graphical Inet
   Mozilla
   Sound and Video
   Windows File Server
   Network Servers - VNC

2. At atrpms.net downloaded and installed
   atrpms-kickstart-20-1.rhfc1.at.i386.rpm

3. According to atrpms.net after installing (step 2) i should find the 
following
   in /etc/apt/source.list

rpm http://apt.physik.fu-berlin.de redhat/9/en/i386 at-testing
#rpm-src http://apt.physik.fu-berlin.de redhat/9/en/i386 at-testing

    I had:

rpm     http://ayo.freshrpms.net fedora/linux/1/i386 core updates
rpm     http://apt.physik.fu-berlin.de fedora/1/en/i386 at-testing


4. As per atrpms.net instructions installed
   rpm --import RPM-GPG-KEY.atrpms

   result: error: RPM-GPG-KEY.atrpms: import read failed

5. Ran apt-get udate
   results seem OK.  No error messages

6. Ran apt-get dist-upgrade

   some of the hic-ups are:

7.  At this point in try to install the latest atrpms kernel and kernel 
source packages.
    All hell brakes loose (e.g., no database access, etc.) Before I do this 
for the sixth time, do you have any suggestions?


   BTW, also tried knoppmyth.....whoa was that a horror story.  got double 
and tripple
images on my screen.  couldn't make heads or tails of what was going on.
