My channel switching problems were magically solved one day when I
restarted MythTV.. and ever since it's been running pretty nice.
What I did in the end was completely ignore the mythfilldatabase --manual
console setup and just do everything in the channel editor. As the
frequency id put the channel number you are after and use finetuning up and
down.
I am on Casema and I always had to tune down 50 and up 25

It works for me.. and I am using a Hauppauge PVR-350 with KnoppMyth
