[mythtv-users] Problems installing mythtv - libXv.so.1

I'm running RH8, and I'm following all of the apt-get instructions.

Basically, I can't install via RPMs, because I'm missing a dependency -
libXv.so.1

I've Googled it many times, and it looks like it should be in
XFree86-libs, but I've updated that package, and it fixed nothing.  Is
it just in an earlier version of XFree86?  The dependency was also
causing mplayer to not be installed, but I downloaded mplayer directly
from their website, and got it to install just fine. 

How can I satisfy this dependency?
