[mythtv-users] Odd transcoder/profile problems.

I'm using a CVS build I compiled last night, the first after I installed
my new PVR-350. Everything works for recording, but transcoding doesn't
work at all for me any more. Here's what happens:

I start up mythfrontend, enter setup, enter TV settings, enter recording.
There are three options there: "(Create new profile group)," "MPEG-2
Encoders (PVR-250, PVR-350)," and "Transcoders." When I go into the
encoders screen, I am presented with a blank screen with the title
"MPEG-2 Encoders (PVR-250, PVR-350)".. as if there should be
entries/profiles that I could select. If I hit enter at this point, it
brings up a dialog where I should enter a profile name. Typing in this
box has no effect. I can select the codec to use and the audio quality
and so forth, but these changes are not saved. It's like I was editing a
phantom profile, as if mythtv never expected there to be 0 options at the
encoding profiles screen. I created a new profile group called
"Transcoders (myhostname)" and it popped up a number of choices (Live TV,
High Quality, Low Quality encodings). However, nothing here still has any
effect. When I transcode, the backend prints out:

2003-09-24 08:25:46 Transcoding from
/home/myth/tv/1036_20030922183000_20030922190000.nuv to
/home/myth/tv/1036_20030922183000_20030922190000.nuv.tmp
Input #0, mpeg, from '/home/myth/tv/1036_20030922183000_20030922190000.nuv':
  Stream #0.0: Video: mpeg2video, 480x480, 29.97 fps, 16000 kb/s
  Stream #0.1: Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, 384 kb/s
Couldn't find profile for : MPEG-2
2003-09-24 08:25:47 Transcoding /home/myth/tv/1036_20030922183000_20030922190000.nuv failed

And that's where I'm stuck. I'm sure there's a way for me to bypass the
gui and mess around with SQL.
