I've done this with the mythtvsetup program (and I walked a friend
through the setup this way on his powerbook, so I know that OSX deals
just fine with X11 forwarding over ssh), but I'm pretty sure it won't
work properly with anything that uses graphical acceleration (eg.
mythfrontend).  

X11 forwarding can't forward stuff like Xv that's drawn straight to the
"screen" (video RAM?  I'm not real sure how it all works).
