[mythtv-users] Compiling Lirc with Axel's source

If I have Axel's source, do I still need to do any i2c patching before I 
compile Lirc from CVS? Or can I just do use the kernel-2.4.20-i686.config 
and be ok because it's already been patched?

I've decided to try the homebrew receiver since I've had absolutely no luck 
with the pvr-250 receiver.
