[mythtv-users] switching to TimeWarner Digital cable soon

I'm switching from analog to digital cable here in milwaukee for the
new HBO season and
just wanted to know if anyone else is using the phillips or sci atlanta
boxes?  I tried to get a model number out of the lady but she said she
didnt know.

So my question is, I ordered 2 boxes so I could record 2 tv shows at
once, can anyone recommend a irblaster (serial) vendor for purchasing
a nicely supported product?

Anything else I should be aware of, besides having to reconfigure
xmltv in myth for the digital cable lineup instead of analog?


On a side note, I'm using pvr250's and havnt upgraded upgraded my
ivtv drivers since the original june 21st cvs.  I havnt noticed the
"whine" problem, is there any real advantage to updating to the
latest cvs that I might gain?
