[mythtv-users] Making fbset changes permanent

Jason,

I've since switched to a GeForce4 440MX for my TVOut -
the picture by default is pretty good, has good color
(maybe a bit bright though on reds) and the overscan
options work great. Best of all, no framebuffer
calculations - I finally got sick of it after still
getting a flickering line at the top of the screen
(much like a mis-timed raster bar in a Commodore 64
demo).

What I did was just make the "matrox" program SUID
root, i.e:
chmod +s matrox

>From there, it would run as a regular user.
