[mythtv-users] straight capture, no tuner hardware suggestions...

I know this has been brought up before (a while ago actually), I'm going
to be recording from a dish network/direct tv source so my myth box will
be a straight capture and no need for a tuner.

Is the optimal solution to pickup a PVR 250/350 and just use it as a
straight capture card, or is there a less expensive card that does
hardware mpeg2 encoding, lacks a TV tuner and is linux-friendly?
