No; the above suggestion is not correct.  The problem is that, by default,
only the user running X (and root) have permission to connect to the X
display.  Since you're running the program as a different user ('mythtv'),
you need either to start X as that user initially, or to grant the mythtv
user permission to connect to the local display (usually by issuing the
command "xhost + mythtv" (where 'mythtv' is your mythtv username).  If that
doesn't work, you could try "xhost + localhost", which would grant all local
users to connect.  The most secure method is to log in as the appropriate
user and grant no permission for anyone else to connect (the default).
