Okay - it turns out that the part I was looking at was only for browse
mode.  But now that you've confirmed that it's a 10-second check, I'm
leaving it alone. ;)

Now - from list mode (and running mythfrontend from an xterm), I got
List mode to say, "Just set which file to 0", even though from looking
at the database, the childid entry for the first file is not 0...
