[mythtv-users] Font Problems - Arrrg!

Thanks Steve!
I'll certainly give this a shot when I get home. In fact, with my current
XF86Config-4 settings I know I'm around 36DPI on purpose. I'm directly
connected via DVI to my Samsung DLP-based TV using 1280x720 - 1:1 bit
mapping - all digital path - no scaling!
However, does your suggestion explain why under KDE the fonts looks fine,
but under ICE it doesn't? It's the same X-server and XF86Config-4
configuration file...
I will also try the qtconfig suggested by Marius.
Thanks,
Alexander

This seems to be a common issue - It has nothing to do with your WM, it
is your DPI setting under X. Read the following thread for a fix:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/perl/mailarc/gforum.cgi?post=68191;search_st
ring=dpi%20font;guest=1117397&t=search_engine#68191
Brief synopsis: Use "xdpyinfo | grep inch" to determine the current DPI
setting; tweak the "displaysize" parameter in your XF86Config to get the
DPI setting as close as possible to 100 dpi.
If there's an easier way to accomplish this, I haven't found it yet.

Steve
