The design (unless Asus is reading this newsgroup and realizes they made
some boneheaded errors and has fixed them) is such that you're going to
have problems with "tall" cards, like the the PVR-250's.
Here is my "bonehead" list:
o SPDIF IN/OUT is only available in the front, behind a door, meaning
if you want to use it you're breaking the clean "lines" of the Pundit.
o Case is not tall enough for PVR-250's to fit easily. Search the
archives for my "Voiding the Pundit Warranty" message where I show how I
cut away some metal to get two cards to fit.
o Front power and drive activity LEDs are _super_ bright.
o No IR port window
o As far as I know, no one has figured out how to get the SD / MMC /
etc card reader to work in Linux.
But, even with all that, I still think the Pundit makes a very nice
frontend/backend machine if you can deal with the compromises the
engineers made in the design of the SFF case.
