Perhaps this should be on the developer's list but here goes anyway.  
There's an optimization that can be made.  If there is a central XML 
server (or cluster) that all MythTV clients connect to, the client can 
request listings for a specific ZIP code from the server.  The server 
can then check if there is already data cached for that ZIP code.  If 
not, it goes and gets it and then caches it.  This way the server 
doesn't have to get all the listings just the ones requested.  
Subsequent requests go to the cache instead of pulling live data.  After 
a certain period (x days), cached entries expire and are deleted from 
the cache.

Personally, I am willing to pay a nominal fee for a real feed from 
Gemstar.  I want something reliable.
