That would be great, Chris. I'd like to see this feature. I've
been using auto-skip for the past several weeks and after an
initial learning period for identifying some common problems,
I'm comfortable leaving it on all the time. However, for some

I'm happy with auto-skip in almost all shows. The most common
problem I see is when there is a mix of local and national ads
and/or short promos just before going back to the show. I now
know that if it does auto-skip and I still see an ad, I don't
want to hit "Z"(!) but hit right arrow instead.

Anyway, one thought would be that if auto-skip is on, "Q" would
turn it off and skip back as usual. If we had to skip back,
something went wrong so let's leave it off for the duration of
this show. Another thought is maybe there could be an auto-skip
toggle in the set of controls with the "F" key. And, of course,
there could be an entirely new key to toggle auto-skip but that
can be difficult for remote controls.

Another small thing I'd like but never mentioned is that I
usually reach for "Z" when I hear "Coming up next...". I don't
need to see the teaser if I'm already planning to watch the
rest of the show. The first Z skips to the start of the break,
a second Z skips over the commercials. If the Z key was pressed
and there is a start marker within one minute, it would be
convenient to have it skip directly to the end mark.
