There are no ivtv lines at all.

Do you have *any* lines referring to ivtv?  the 'minor X' numbers will 
not necessarily be the same, but the one you're interested in is likely 
a low, single-digit number.  Though, it should be '0' if you're 
capturing from /dev/video0.  Check your /var/log/messages, too.
