Because the playback video is synchronised with the sound this can often indicate a problem where the sound card is stuck at some faster speed than your audio recording speed.  Perhaps your sound has become high pitched on playback as well?

Search the list on spdif problems, and perhaps nforce2 issues (if you have one of these).
