Well, I'm not sure which listings you are getting for Las Vegas
but the Cox Cable listing have always had Ebert & Roper starting
at 12:05 on KVBC. George Michael Sports Machine is 11:35 to 12:05.
On weekdays there is Leno and that leaves SNL so I don't see any
12:00-1:00 or 12:05-1:05 shows on KVBC.

However, taking your example at face value, there are a few
choices. The quick'n'dirty solution is to record the show that
follows. You miss a few seconds and you only watch 5min of the
other show before deleting but if it doesn't create a conflict
for a later show, this is pretty much painless.

Next, you could go to TV Settings->General and set "Time to
record past end of show" to 300sec. However, this will apply to
every recording unless there is another back to back recording.

You can edit the mysql 'program' table to change the start and
end times. You would need to wait until the day of, or day before
the show so that mythfilldatabase won't overwrite your changes.

Of course, there is a missing feature here which is often
mentioned but no one, including myself, has ever implemented.
That is, there should be starttime and endtime offset fields
in the record table. The record entries need the real start and
end times to match with the program table to verify that the
expected program is scheduled. The offsets could be added and/or
subtracted to calculate the effective start and end used by the
scheduler in conflict resolution and for the actual record times.
These offset values should be included on the Advanced Options
page.

I hoping that one of the four of five people who I know would do
a bang-up job of this might get inspired. I'm afraid if I tried
this I'd screw it up ;-).
