Did you enable the Xv picture settings?  Some video
cards use 50% as normal hue, and some use 0%. 

While you're watching tv or a recording, try pressing
the F key to adjust your picture settings.  Keep
pressing F until you're on the Hue setting, then
adjust it until it looks right.
