[mythtv-users] LIRC still giving me grief. Hauppage grey remote. HELP!

trying to get my hauppage grey remote working.  i'm really hoping i don't need to compile a kernel or anything.  this is a mandrake 9.1 box.

this is what i get when i try to 'modprobe lirc_i2c'.  i've followed the directions in mythdocs to a T, don't have the slightest idea what i'm doing wrong.  i've made and installed bttv, but i couldn't get it to load.  though i shouldn't need it, should i?  the last 2 lines are the crux of the matter, i think.
