Ok, I believe I am so close. Not to mention I am so happy I made it this far being a noob.

Alot of thanks to Jahrod BTW, for the kickass tut

I have installed RH9 with all the updates, including the 2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at kernel
I have installed the CVS of Mythtv .12 and all is well with it, cause I can watch live tv etc.....
I have enabled the PVR 350 output in the settings for TV as /dev/video16
I have downloaded and compiled the IVTV alpha drivers

Here's the little batch file I wrote, cause I wanted to test before committing to /etc/modules.conf

modprobe i2c-core
modprobe i2c-algo-bit
modprobe tuner type=2
modprobe msp3400
modprobe videodev
insmod saa7127 enable_output=1 output_select=01 test_image=1
insmod ivtv

Per Jahrod's instructions for setting the recording parameters, I did the following:

 # /usr/lib/ivtv/test_ioctl -u 0x3000
# /usr/lib/ivtv/test_ioctl -p 4
# /usr/lib/ivtv/test_ioctl -f width=720,height=480
# /usr/lib/ivtv/test_ioctl -v input=4,output=1

After I run the little batch file, I get the appropriate loaded responses, and I get the test pattern on the TV, Wohoo!!

I then proceed to launch mythbackend, and open mythfrontend

I then navigate to TV and Livetv, and it all goes to $#!T

As noted below

Here's my MythBackend running during this timeframe:

Starting up as the master server.

Couldn't read data from the capture card in 15 seconds. Game over, man.

Can anybody lend me a hand and tell me what is wrong? I very much appreciate any help.
