I get this error as well. I understand that this module is for TV-out.
Everything else works fine for me, except that the ivtv module won't load
on startup with this module failing like this.

My package names for lirc are as follows:
lirc-kmdl-2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at-0.7.0-pre2_13.rh9.at
lirc-0.7.0-pre2_13.rh9.at
