You can use it though not with LIRC.  There was a config file in
contribs for something called MouseRemote.pl, try a google search
for that.  You will need a program from the xautomation package to
send keypresses from MouseRemote.pl to mythtv.  The name of the
program should be in the config file so you can try to locate
that via rpmfind, google, or other method.

Hope this is somewhat useful.  I haven't used my X10 remote in a
while and no longer have the software.  I can say that once you
get stuff setup it works quite nicely.
