I'm using a nForce2 based Shuttle MN31N myself.  Kernel 2.4.22 fix a 
lot of issues I was having too.  ACPI still causes crashes on my board.

How are you converting VGA to Component Video?

DVI on HDTV's is not compatible with DVI video cards, correct?
