No, it's nothing like ShowView it't merely a mechnism with that some 
broadcasters "mark" their programs to ensure the recording right in time even 
when the schedule has been disturbed somehow by a previous program which took 
longer than anticipated.

it works by sending the starttime and date coded in line 16 of the VBI data, 
that means if program a movie at 23:00 on 13/10 the scheduler won't start the 
recording at that time, it will start the recording when this signal appears 
in line 16 of the VBI and stop when it disappears. with my ancient VCR that 
works nice.
