You should always copy and paste the output of commands if at all 
possible. Accuracy can be very important for things like this...

Okay, there's the first problem. You're running the bad driver everyone 
else was also having problems with. You need to upgrade to the newer 
ivtv drivers (or revert to the older older ones).

> rpm -q --qf '%{name}-%{version}-%{release}.%{arch} \n' kernel
> ivtv-kmdl-2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at
> Output is:

>
> depmod -ae
> Output is:
> command not found

You either must have a full root shell (complete with path) or type the 
full path, /sbin/depmod -ae.
