If you are using 0.11 there is a bug where this happens if you
are within a few seconds of real time regardless of the CPU or
resolution. The work around is to pause or rewind so that you
are at least 30 seconds behind. This was fixed about two weeks
ago in CVS so this will no longer be a problem in the next
release.

This is either a problem connecting to the database or the
mythbackend (or both ;-).

Try going to TV->Schedule Recordings->Program Guide. If it
hangs here the problem is in connecting to the database. See
http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-6.html#ss6.5 for the
"Modifying access" section then make sure you can connect with
"mysql -u mythtv -pmythtv -hyourmysqlhost mythconverg". Verify
that the local mysql.txt on the frontend machine has the correct
info including the correct mysql server hostname.

If you can get the EPG but not the Watch Recordings page, rerun
the "setup" program and make sure the "Master Server IP address"
is the real IP address of the master host and not "127.0.0.1".
