I've *never* had overscanning working when using TV-out wiht my
GFTi4200.  Not without using nvtv anyway... (which is oh-so-woefully
underdocumented.)  The release notes for the NVidia driver do say that
they don't support overscan for any chipsets other than NVidia and
Conexant.  I've got a Philips chipset in mine, so I suppose I'm SOL. 
Then again, one of these days I'll have the time to get my (rebuilt)
myth box going with the VGA to component converter again... ;)
