[mythtv-users] [OT] ALC650 audio

I'm thinking of using a Gigabyte GA-7VKMP-P motherboard for my Myth box.  
The board has a Realtek ALC 650 6-channel soundcard onboard - A bit of 
googling shows that people have these working with ALSA, but I can't find 
anyone saying much about the surround sound abilities.  Has anyone here 
used this chipset with ALSA or OSS?  Will it happilly decode AC3 (and 
prologic?) soundtracks into the 6 channels, or would I be better off just 
sticking a SB Live in the box?
