[mythtv-users] Time-shared channels

I have several channels on my cable feed that are shared between different
program suppliers at different times of the day.

e.g.  
Discovery H&L (6am to 4pm) / Discovery (4pm to midnight)
Trouble (until 9pm) / Bravo (9pm to ?am)
etc,

I already guide data for both sets, and populate two channels in the
database.  I can select the epg data via two duplicate tuning entries with
different names, but with identical channel numbers.    
I would like to populate a single channel in the database with data
appropriate for the time of day on these shared channels.

Any ideas anyone ???

Is there a way of hiding these two channels from the EPG & the channel
up/down, and then run a script to populate a third "visible" channel with
data from both ?
