I believe the 880 model is the older WinTV PVR PCI and is not
supported under Linux.  You need the newer PVR 250 or 350.

If all of your recorded material is MPEG2 (i.e. recorded by a PVR) and
you don't have an HDTV, the consensus seems to be that this will give
you the best video quality.  If you have MPEG4 recordings or an HDTV,
you're probably better off with a regular video card with the
appropriate output (TV, DVI, VGA, etc.).
