Answering just for fun. I'm no supercomputer expert,
but a google of Cray 2 brought up the following:

Achieved 1 Gigaflop of performance in 1985 with a peak
performance of 1.9.

With that said, a Microsoft Xbox was measured at the 1
gigaflops in 2001.

Apple X serve G4, 19 gigaflops!

The performance curve is amazing, but we're always
coming up with stuff (MythTV & UHDTV) to eat it all
up.
