On my system, installing MythTV was the *easiest* part of the exercise. 

The hard part has been getting Gentoo 1.4 to see and use my TV card.  I
now have it seeing it.....but can't find any documentation on where to
put the module options.....

It doesn't help that XawTV segfaults on start-up (v3.86) when trying ti
initialise the hardware.
